Happy Friday everyone!! I’ve got yet ANOTHER awesome Co-Host to introduce you to this week. Her name is Anna and she is the Creator, writer, Momma, and photographer behind Crunchy Creamy Sweet!! Anna didn’t always love being in the kitchen, as a child she was actually a book-worm, but once she was in college she experimented mixing different ingredients and soon discovered her joy for baking. Her foodie blog was developed in 2011, just a few months after her son was born. Even though she had no desire to bake throughout her pregnancy (she craved big spicy meaty dishes like me!) just a few short months after her son was born, Creamy Crunchy Sweet was developed……….she got her joy back alright….. baking from scratch!!
Anne is a proud Momma of three little ones and has a hubby she adores, so go and check out her blog! I swear when I’m home after the summer is over I will diving more into baking and I can’t wait to make some of her awesome recipes……like Cosmopolitan Cocktail Bars……..uhm hello! Even though they weren’t originated in her kitchen, I found them through her! That counts! Or how about Waffle Chocolate Chunk Cookies….that should get you over their! Now again don’t think I picked an “easy” recipe, but I’m at my camp for the summer and I have limited access to cooking anything fabulous never mind baking!! Believe it or not, I thought I chose an easy recipe, I’m not sure if it was the 3rd day of horrible high humidity we’ve had or what, but even though my summer camper is AC’d, I still found this simple recipe tough LOL….ok not tough, messy, I’m not used to messy!! I decided to make two different recipes of Anna’s because I felt bad I chose such easy ones…plus I knew Madison (and daddy) would love these little treats!!! PLUS…Maddie has been teething all week so the pops were a bonus for us!
Gather your ingredients, use your own judgement depending on how many you’re making, I made 8 so here are my ingredients.
1 Large Chocolate bar
8 Lollipop Sticks (OK I confess I used skewers broken in half with the pointy side)
1 Cup of graham cracker crumbs (feel free to buy the crackers and mush them up yourself)
I started my melting my chocolate in the microwave, at 30 second intervals, stirring each time.
I the pro that I thought I was didn’t pay attention to the directions and made a mess! Now that I’m looking back on Anna’s directions, dipping the stick in the chocolate and then placing the marshmallow on it and placing it down to sit for a moment probably would have been best! Whoopsy.
I jumped right in for that chocolate bath!
Then I coated it in the graham cracker crumbs right away, waiting a few minutes between each step wouldn’t have killed me LOL!
Then I let them sit in the fridge over night using styrofoam bowls. I just stuck the sticks in so they stood upright. This is where I made the mess! I should have let them sit for a minute upside down, chocolate dripped, hey I don’t want to loose any chocolate!!! AHH!
Not bad thought huh!!! Look at that little bite of goodness!

Ok now for the Limeade Ice Pops w/Strawberries!
What you need:
3/4 c water
1/2 c lime juice
1/4 c agave, honey or simple syrup ( I used lime scented simple syrup from making candied lime peels )
8 strawberry slices
What to do:
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together water, lime juice and syrup.
Place fruit slices in pops molds.
Carefully, pour the liquid over into molds.
Freeze until solid, 6 hours or overnight.
To release, run mold under warm water for few seconds.
makes: 8 ice pops
